R2G Tours
The Hong Kong Geopark was established on 3 Nov 2009 aiming at promoting conservation, education and sustainable development.
Our Association initiated and launched the Recommended Geopark Guide (R2G) System in June 2010. Main objectives are to encourage the tour guides to enhance their interpretation skills and acknowledge about Hong Kong Geopark and to align with international standards.
Currently, R2G is the only tour guide system in Hong Kong that is assessed according to international standards, recognised by Hong Kong Geopark and recommended to both local and overseas tourists.
The schedule of the R2G tours is carefully designed. Safety is the top priority while fun and education are the key elements. Through interactive interpretations, participants not only understand and appreciate the unique landscapes and rocks of Hong Kong, but also the ecosystem and cultural heritage. The R2G tour provides an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.
Our routes and schedule are tailor-made covering the two regions of Hong Kong Geopark including:
- Northeast New Territories Sedimentary Rock Region
- Sai Kung Volcanic Rock Region
